Certification in Radiant Child Yoga
Certified in Prenatal Yoga

Jacinda has been practicing yoga since 1996. She began her practice with an introductory short-course in college. That practice intensified and became even more serious in 2003 when she started a home practice in addition to studio time. In 2005, Jacinda sustained a shoulder injury and for a time thought she would never be able to enroll in a teacher training. But, she decided that she really needed to become trained so that she would not have to rely on teachers to keep her safe. Compassion and meeting the student where they are in their bodies is far more important than actualizing any pose. Jacinda teaches to the present moment and focuses on that trying to make the experience as healthy and as safe as possible.

With a foundation of a personal practice spanning 15 years, Joyce first formally trained as a Yoga Instructor in 2003. After teaching for a short while she recognized the ongoing commitment we must all make to consistently sharpen our skills and open to something new. This drew Joyce to Anusara Yoga and a 300hr YTT training with Todd Norian. Joyce then continued her Anusara Training with John Friend to become Anusara-Inspired® and in 2005 opened her own studio, Earth Heart Yoga in Laconia, NH. When Joyce first met Jenny Otto she was inspired by her deep understanding of the body and how to incorporate anatomy, therapy and yoga into a cohesive supportive practice. Having been a certified fitness instructor and personal trainer for many years this was an area that called to her deeply. Joyce was delighted to both host and participate in Jenny’s therapy training to deepen her own understanding of the balance that can be achieved in the body through harmony and wisdom infused movement.
“I combine all my skills from my past training and current practices into my current teaching which is always shifting and evolving. Yoga has helped me to continually remember the universal truths of health, peace, harmony and light we all share. These are the qualities I bring to my classes, individual sessions and training programs.”

"My interest in yoga therapy comes from my own experience with yoga and meditation, which have been deeply healing on many levels. Initially offering a way to relieve tension and work with the chaos of my youthful mind and heart, over the years the healing benefits of practice have extended into every aspect of my life. Not only am I healthier, stronger and more at home in my own body, but I’m also much happier. Practice has helped me cultivate healthier alignment and greater ease of movement, a deeper experience of the indivisibility of mind and body, and more flexibility and openness to life in general.
